poem of love gone bad

 

A Song is just a song,
when listened to alone
a day is just a day when
you're the only one home

Taking a walk by the shore,
watching a beautiful ocean view
is not a joyous deed when
there's no one there but you

Those days when you held me and
said I'd never be alone,  and awakened
me  with butterfly kisses....All Gone
And those days when we ran in the rain,

just to run in the rain....All Gone

Those quiet afternoons of reading poetry
and kissing til we could hardly breath
The nights when your kisses started at my fingertips
and ended at the top of my head....Long Gone

Those special nights of love so entense they
brought tears of joy to my eyes, with you taking
me to the steps of Heaven again and again....Gone

All the laughter & tears, and the problems
solved through the yearsare nothing now, 
but memories and dusty souvenirs 
that I'll store in the treasure chest of my heart

Keepsakes to remind me
of the perfect love that we once shared
that suddenly fell apartand is now....All Gone
