Treasure these momentsA Poem by EmpressPoetessReflections of a great love that was meant to last forever, but ended due to drugs):We watched the fire transcend the night We were lost in moments of shredded time while shadows dance urgently above us teasing, taunting, and laughing at our plight
Impatiently they wait for this moment to end Where has all the damning music gone? How are my tortured thoughts to dance now? It gave me a place where my heart could pretend
Those fractured memories swam vaguely Shimmering behind our intoxicated tears Tears that spilled out in moments of anger When fits of selfish demands filled us miserably
Love, let me swim in your emerald depths tonight lose your fingers within the warmth of my hair please, kiss the salty tear stains from my cheeks stop the flowing of their lonesome plight
let me whisper my frantic woes against your chest give me these moments to pour out my heart to you let’s remember when love was young and new let these feelings linger within us, please, let them rest.
