The looking glass effect

The looking glass effect

A Poem by EmpressPoetess
"

Inspired by the picture

"

Her dreams dance just beneath the surface
shuttered in a kaleidoscope of her emotions
she waits and wonders where the girl goes
when the woman inside of her appears

Her dreams, her wishes and desires change
from soft rays of wonder into clear realities
she’ll design a treasure trove in her mind
a keepsake to safeguard things of the heart

where young always believe in tender love
of brave knights in white satin, on white steeds
fancy gaiety is spun on whimsical revelries
of the swinging doors throughout her mind.....

As seen through the eyes in her looking glass.

wow, nicely written piece.

geez, i believed in all that stuff you have in the third stanza...

but..the looking glass broke...and since then, nothing looks the same...

this flows free and easy...wonderfully put together phrasing here.
