For love of living

For love of living

A Poem by EmpressPoetess
"

A contest entry in Albert's BlueRose cafe Fun with form contest. This is a Trimeric.

"

On my journey afar beneath the stars

I searched for Lily fields and Saffron

A place to smell the midnight essence

to gaze with adoration at the full moon

I searched for lily fields and saffron

And discovered dewy kisses from

Rain drenched oak and cedar leaves

A place to smell the midnight essence

The perfumes of myrrh and frankincense

And bathe in lipid pools where orchids grow

To gaze with adoration at the full moon

I journeyed afar to taste the purist honey

To drink from ivory cups, the milk of kings.
