A Sun

A Sun

A Poem by Empirik

The sun is that women who strikes you every morning, day and night
She removes any feeling of fright and blinds you so bright
The sun is the realization of one being the center of your universe
She inspires growth
She illuminates the past and the future
The sun is the hottest thing not from this Earth,
Metaphorically speaking about her birth

A big bang of brilliance
Beauty in the making of life
In search of a chance,
When ready but not yet known,
To take the first glance and make it last forever

Really enjoyed the last stanza of this one...it struck the deepest for me emotionally. I also enjoyed the personification of the Sun as a woman, very fitting, because in lore the sun is usually depicted in the form of a male and the moon is female. You write a thought provoking piece.

First line: Tense issue--I think you mean "the sun is that woman..."

A beautiful and powerful poem. I agree. Beauty is like a beautiful woman who give hope and joy to the people who are near. Thank you for the outstanding poem.

Wow, I'm very shocked that this poem has not attracted more attention than what I read below. This is an ungodly work of art. I'm highly impressed, and you should be proud of yourself. The impact is strong--heavy in ways that can only be expressed through words. They must be read silently to oneself--not aloud. Your use of mechanics is advanced, and thankfully hardly noticeable to a typical reader like myself. (I hate it when the writer gives away the construction of a piece within the piece--if that makes any sense? In other words, you can tell its forced.)

Seriously, I hope you get the attention you deserve. Well done.
