![]() Blindfolded in the DarkA Poem by Empirik
Coming around consciously to blue skies,
and the sound of fireflies deeper through the winds whiskey cries Moving faster and faster on pace for disaster Sitting alabaster and as cold as the steel upon my facade…listening intently while blindfolded in the dark marked with the stench of oil Wound so tight like a coil I am dizzy Lost in my whereabouts Unable to free the doubt undertone shouts entering eardrum sequence in accord with elevated heartbeats sending a sense of fear or clarity running down my spine In a situation feeling the tears start The whole world falls apart and opens-up to take me in, shine some light and lift me above with might Helping the traumatic fright so that becoming bright with collectively explainable insight Writing myself in the dark hindsight © 2012 EmpirikAuthor's Note
