InkscapeA Poem by J.NicoIn search of myself through signs and metaphors… At times I was given to inktravels And with time I got to stay in that inkworld Far more than it was wise. Until one day I got trapped there.
This is my tale. And the tale of all my dreams And exactly how they came to be And gone. Leaving me on the shore of here As much as anywhere else.
My memories Extend beyond reason, Time and life.
But my sanity Isn’t elastic. It got scattered Through countless lives. Slowly, It’s all coming back… And with it The whole of me…
I
I was born elsewhere From a womb of light And a perfect sphere Of sparkling might…
As I placed the quill On the white surface And inked it with will I gave birth to a furnace.
It raged through my fingers, It engulfed my mind.
Yet as the quill lingers Poised to rewind
Untold worlds through, Is it time already, I wonder in thought, Am I ready?
Part of me is, And so much more. Part of me wants this As I wanted before…
So… I dream! © 2014 J.Nico |
