Bricks

Bricks

A Poem by XxXCherriXxX

when the bricks begin to fall

so do i.

falling faster than i ever have.

screaming for help on my way down to the ground.

when the bricks begin to fall

so do my emotions

falling faster and hurting everyone in there path.

when the bricks begin to fall

so does my thoughts

falling faster than ever

getting lost the way down

when the bricks fall

so do i

falling faster and faster, hurting people on the way down and getting lost on the way down.

how can i find my brick wall again?

how can i find myself again?

There are times when our lives seem
to go wrong. Everything in our lives
appears to be a mess. I suppose the
analogy you have made of all your bricks
came tumbling down would be pretty
accurate.
Fortunately , like brick walls, we can
reconstruct our lives. It is difficult and
messy, but we do it, over and over again.

You have written a nice piece and it will
touch a lot of lives, therefore it is
literature and you should be proud.

Excellent writing !

I would also like to know what inspired this? Life is an experimental construct. Keep building one block at a time, and when one falls build it back in a rhyme.

Third stanza....second line should read do versus does.

I really feel this piece. Might I ask what inspired it? A crush?

I like your work too Cherri.

I'll read more later--

I love the way the words fall and falling are used. It has a sense of slow motion and a poetic cadence that enuciates the overall sense of falling down.

Hey, I really like this. At times we all have to destroy to rebuild, and its a scary thought that one could get lost in it all. A great write! :)
