Warrior

Warrior

A Poem by Wonderland Asylum

There's a hurricane

brewing in my heart.

Any second now, it will burst.

Ready to unleash every inside.

Finally,

Everything I see is crystal clear.

Nothing can keep me from

conquering my fear.

I may not have won every battle.

But I have won this final war.

Before I forget to mention it – LAST LINE: do you mean “won” instead of “one”!??! Thank you for read requesting me. I don’t see you here in my newsfeed much, so I might forget to read you (I’m old & forgetful), or I might not notice you’ve posted something new. I always enjoy seeing a new poem from you here. I love the way you use the motif of a warrior when thinking about how to attack life. Your words are a huge inspiration for people who are feeling down & out. Sometimes we need to keep pushing ahead & not worry about the places where we faltered. The last two lines really hit home! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

You're right, the most important is to win the war. And it's like a brave warrior talking. Well done friend!!!!!!
