Forever Broken

Written when my boyfriend and I had our very first fight, six days after being together. Poem was written on May 26, 2011

He made me happy,

He was my light to

Guide me through the dark.

I don't know what I'll do

Without him...

 

Oh, I know...

I'll kill myself.

If I don't have

My light,

How will I survive?

 

Moving on would be

Wise, yes.

But I can't, because

He's the only one

I'll EVER love,

EVER care about.

 

And now, my

Life source

Has gone away.

So I'll sit here,

In a dark corner,

Alone...

 

But I have this voice

In my head saying,

"You're not alone!

Don't waste your

Tears on someone

Who doesn't deserve

Them, be strong!"

 

Yet I have my

Heart telling me

That he and I

Will be together

Again soon...

 

Oh, which do I

Choose?

My heart...

Or my head?

 

I know!

Neither, because

I cannot trust

Myself or anyone

Except him...

 

His name is

Forever on my heart.

I've written his name

Everywhere around me.

 

And now,

I die...

A slow and

Very much painful

Death...

 

He said he loves

Me...forever...

And yet, he

Breaks my heart...

 

I am truly,

Forever broken.
