To carve A into her wrist

To carve A into her wrist

A Poem by ℰmerald ⚓
"

Overpowering memories.

"
The memories roll in,
The ones I thought I'd forgotten...
Worst of them all.
I hear myself scream in pain,
It's so strong,
It's too late. . .
The scream was loud and meaningful. . .
The time has past.
It's just a dream,
It's only a dream,
But it's not. . .
It'll stay with me,
Forever.
All scars will remain.
They listen to me,
Heartless.
I stop,
Fall to the ground in a heap.
Now I feel it.
Steamy hot  water. . .
Rolling slowly down my face,
Falling to the floor.
Just another drop. . .
It'll add to the puddle. . .
Scurrying to the darkest corner,
Grabbing my razor along the way.
They hear me,
Bashing my head into the wall,
Crashing back to the floor. . .
Sinking the blade deep,
Further and further into my wrist. . .
Neatly I carve an "A".
If only it took all my pain away. . .
I scream in horror.
For the last time,
I fall to the floor crying. . .
In my pond of blood,
I lay there motionless.
They feel me,
Cold.
This memory will no longer haunt me. . .
It's over,
For good.

About
I don't post as much as I used to, I'll trash most of the songs I write because I always compare them to my favorite bands' music and it just never seems good enough. I don't think my poems and stori.. more..
