damage? Dealt.

damage? Dealt.

A Poem by King Wolfe (Dylan A. King)

Have you noticed how easy we may arrive at Death's withered doorstep?
we go through life seeing only the good, and trying to ignore the bad,
and take for granted all the great things in our lives will remain another day,
like people
family,

We spend time in pointless conflict with one another,
and develop an overwhelming sense of hatred
and only when those people sprout wings and take flight to the gleaming
streets of gold in the heavens above; do we stop,
and grieved by not being able to say those two words to right all wrongs,
do we realize,
we are wrong,

then to gain a sense of enlightenment,
we try desperately to make right the wrongs we've committed...

but its too late...
the deed is done...
the damage?
Dealt.

Very much in agreement. I think your poem was clear yet subtle in how you came across which is great because people can understand it. I always tell people to just tell people the truth and how it is. That old saying, "Its not what you say but how you say it. Provoking. Thanks for sharing.
