A Wolf's Cry

A Wolf's Cry

A Poem by King Wolfe (Dylan A. King)

Alone, I stare up at the moon, and bask in its dim glory,

and I start to think about my fallen mate. she hadput her life on the

line to assure that her pups would live on, and after her death

came at the paws of a black bear, I spiraled into a

deep depression and lost all will to continue prawling, from now on alone.

the only element that drove me to last with a beating heart to this

night was the pups lives, but its been many years since they

have gone to start their own packs, and the will to live

has all but disappeared, and now here I am head high staring

at the moon, howling in sorrow and dispare my final howl.

Amazing poem! I love how you wrap a story around in a poem, you don't see that very often. Great work!
