Spitting out the Demons

Today I’m spitting out the demons

They are bubbling from my mouth

From where they’ve settled inside

Eating their way out

Leaving nothing but empty gaps

Echoing voids

And glitches in my system.

But today they’re going.

I’ve said it, so it’s so

I’ve given them an eviction notice

I don’t know where they’ll go

But as long as they’re not inside me

Leaving me cold

I hope they’ll leave me be

And give me peace tonight
