All else is OrderA Poem by Girl on the MoonBring order into chaos and vice versaI like to dress up in waistcoats Like the rabbits do in storybooks And throw dinner parties for dead presidents Waste time in silver petticoats- This is how sometimes a visionary looks As do other heretic residents When they take whimsy as their madam No I’m not a madman I just bore easily of grey I see it as a challenge I think it must be slain I dance the monochrome away And with it, all the pain This is how my time is spent Do I need to repent For my flights of fancy, in order To restore law and order Into your chaotic disorder Of blacks, greys and whites? Or can I entertain your joys Smoothing edges over Your subtle days and nights? © 2012 Girl on the Moon |
