Forbidden

He's there again,

As he always is,

Waiting for me to let him in,

Into a place no one has ever reached.

 

I smile and try to resist the urge,

To let him in,

Into the place I have forbid,

Even myself to go.

 

Emotionally I feel,

The urge to give in.

Psychically though,

I know I must not.

 

For if I do,

It will tear me apart.

 

For if I do,

I can never go back.

 

For if I do,

It will bring nothing but pain.
