The End

The End

A Poem by Emmie
"

This is a poem about a break up.

"

My heart can't see me through this

I just can't take these lies
Please give me just one last kiss

Before I close my eyes

If I could change it all
There'd be nothing to decide

But I can't break down the wall
I'm not even going to try

There's nothing left to talk about

I'm tired of your games
Don't turn to me when you walk out

I promise I still look the same

You keep telling me that you love me
But there's no excuse you can provide

You cheated so I'm setting you free
Don't let the door break your stride

The first two verses of this poem came easy but the last two did not. For my friends out there, this has nothing to do with my life now but a lot to do with my former life. Hope you enjoy!

I think all of us have prior lives and loves and heartbreaks. They represent the things we look back on to see how far we have come. In the words of the church, "How I got over." You know you have gotten past your past when you can write about it with objectivity.

Very powerful...if he cheats he was never good enough for you remember that. You are way to awesome for a jerk like that...

Wow, great job, the emotional confliction is subtle as the sincere meaning speaks artfully.
