Rejection

Rejection

A Poem by Emma Renee
"

You know that bit of a song you wrote, but then you can't manage to add to it? This is one of those from me. Not being accepted is my greatest fear <3

"
But he's like a comedian

Playing to an audience too afraid to laugh

They're hanging to the edge of their seats and biting their tongues

All scared to be the first one to make a move

And he's alone on his stage, playing his heart out to the unforgiving crowd

When the curtain finally closes

While the janitor's picking up the trash

He's strumming quietly in the corner

Cause he was the emotion

In a room too cold to feel
