I Once Knew a Girl

I Once Knew a Girl

A Poem by EmmaELJ2001

I once knew a girl
She seemed so happy
Always had a smile
Always filled with laughter

But one day her mom walked in
to see her hanging by a rope
Her face pale
Her body blue

Turns out
she wasn't happy
All she wanted was for it to end
All she wanted was for the pain to go away

That girl I though was so happy
was actually the opposite
She never had a real smile
She never let out real laughter

She was beyond perfect
but she didn't realize it
So she went away
So she went to a place where she would finally be happy
