Don't Breathe

Don't Breathe

Don’t Breathe

You tell me I'm wrong

To forget the past.

The truth is I can't forget.

I cannot outlast.

I try not to drown in the blank page,

In everything I'm trying to run from.

Idly I stand on the outside,

But I could never look in.

And the sad truth is I'm not the only one,

But I feel like the only one.

CHORUS:

Because of you,

I won't breathe anymore.

For all that you've done,

I can't do this anymore.

Lies that feed my desperation!

I'm so much stronger than silence!

I don't breathe anymore!

I can't breathe!

You say I can't hide,

Won't explain why so.

You say you want love,

And still stick to your ego.

And all that you've ever come to be

Is something that's working against me.

I have my will, as do you,

And my dreams don't belong to you.

And the truth is I'm not the only one.

Won't you let me run?

CHORUS

I can't breathe!

What is it I cannot change?

What is it that you can save?

You know I can never believe you

After everything you tried to take.

I never wanted to fight this;

The real world proved me wrong,

And now I have nothing left.

Even you have left me alone.

CHORUS
