This Is Where I BleedA Poem by ToldButNotListening(C) E. Edwards, February 2015This Is Where I
Bleed
The lightest I have felt in a long time, The closest I've ever been in the sunlight. On this road to nowhere, I had to meet you. Now I think I know what I'm looking for. The voices are calling to pull me away, And I’m here pretending they don’t mean a
thing. When all's forbidden, I follow it through. And I know you see my exposure.
So open, don't break me open. I don't want the way you live, All I want is you. This is how I follow, This is the home I choose.
CHORUS: And here, This is where I bleed. And here, This is where I bleed.
Saw you again in a much better light. Nothing holds me back when you're so alive. Unwritten rules of what I should feel Are there to be broken, are nothing real.
So open, don't break me open. I don't want the way you live, All I want is you. This is how I follow, This is the home I choose.
CHORUS
If my ignorance was bliss, This would be so easy. Within all my hopelessness, If I only found some peace. I’m too helpless to let it go.
I don't want the way you live, All I want is you. This is how I follow, This is the home I choose.
