The Blind SocietyA Poem by Sugar and SpiceNo one understands... no one cares
Thinly stretched skin across bones,
Hollow eyes, lost, scared, confused... The lines that crisscross their skin, The darkness forever chasing away the light. This is our society, it is who we are. The kindness only a facade, This is a place where no one really cares. No one cares about the young, They've forgotten the old, They've forgotten that scars go far beneath the surface. As the newly dug graves keep coming, The blind eyes keep turning, Sitting in the cemetery, watching skin get slashed, Watching the sky grow dark, as each day goes by. Society doesn't want you to die. They just don't understand. Understand time, scars, darkness, demons... Our society is blind.
