Falling Star

Falling Star

A Poem by Emily Jarvis
"

A poem inspired by a song and my own images of life. It goes veeeery deep if you look into it, and it has an interesting structure, see if you can figure it out. =]

"

Falling Star
Reaching through the deep tranquil silence,
to the parallel world for the powerful twinkle from your living eyes.
My terrified voice ceases to grasp you,
the distance a million times the span of my young and insignificant hand.
Drastic dreams are your speciality,
gliding innocently across the moonlit sky, keeping my future locked within you.
A thousand eyes stare star struck,
as what they witness cannot be amended by their glowing portraits in the space world.
-
I wish to catch you,
lucky star?

Nice little read. And yes, they are. Worded brilliantly. Good work.
