Symbols

A Poem by Emily Jarvis

Would you like to dance with me?

Spend your worthless life by my side?

Waltz down to that river

Dance under the stars with me

This is my symbol for life.

Would you like to come with me?

Match those heartless lips with mine?

Sneak out to my house

Kiss me in that magic moment

This is my symbol for love.

Would you hurt me?

Hit back gently when I sob?

Push curses to my lips

Insult my dark putrid looks

This is my symbol for hate.
