Chapter 17

I was finally back home. It was around four fifteen when I did get home. It is around seven now. I was sitting on the couch with Lily. I would be texting, but I don't have a phone. Stupid me.

“Hey, Ash. Andy just texted me saying he is on his way over.” Lily said showing me the message. “He cant be over. Mom doesn't want anyone over because we are packing.” I said. “well, tell him that.” Lily said as she gave me her blackberry. “No. I am not going to tell him that.” I said as I gave her the phone back. “What am I suppose to do?” I asked.

            “Sneak him up to your room. I do it all the time.” Lily said. “Oh, yeah. That is a good-” I paused for a moment. “Wait, you do what?” I said as I sat up and looked at her. “Huh..nothing. Never mind. I didn't say that. Just go hang out with him before mom gets home.” Lily said fake laughing. “Tell Andy to meet me at my window.” I said as I walked up the stairs. She is a sneaking little girl.

            It was about ten minutes later. I saw Andy standing outside by my window. I was on the second story. I opened my window and dropped my shoe on top of his head. “What the hell!” he yelled out as he fell to the ground. I couldn't help but to laugh. He looked up and saw me laughing as he rubbed his head. “Not funny, Ashtyn.” he said as he picked my shoe up and throw it back into my window.

            I ducked when I saw that show fly in the air. I hit the deck. I looked over and saw the shoe fly right past Lily's face as she was walking past my room. “What the-” Lily said as she dropped her phone and fell to the ground. I curled up in a ball and laughed until I couldn't breath anymore.

            Lily jumped back up. “Are we being attacked?” Lily said with her eyes bugging out of her head. By this time I was sitting up on my wall under my window. I just shook my head at her. I was still laughing. “No.” I could barely speak. “Ashtyn, I swear, someone is trying to kill us.” Lily said as she picked up her phone. “Us? Don't you mean you?” I said laughing. “Your face is like a magnet.” “Laugh it up, Ash.” Lily said as she walked into her room.

            “Hello? Ashtyn! I'm freezing out here!” I heard Andy say. “I stood back up and leaned out the window. “Well, get in here.” I said. “How?” “You got long legs. You can climb.” I said as I leaned on my window sill looking down at him. “I see you got jokes.” Andy said as he started to climb the tree by my window.

            About three minutes later, Andy was at the top of the tree. I jumped and grabbed a hold to the sill. “Help me in!” I grabbed him from under his arms and I pulled him through the window. “See, it wasn't that bad.” I said as I closed my window. “I have splinters, where splinters should not be.” Andy said as he took off his jacket. I just laughed at him.

“Come on. You can help me pack.” I said as I grabbed boxes and handed them to him. “Do I have to?” Andy wined as he grabbed the boxes. “Yes.” I said as I smiled at him. “Fine! I control the music though.” “Yes, sir!” I said as I put my hand up to my head and put it back down. Like they do in the military.

            Andy plugged up is ipod nano to my stereo and plaid some music while we packed up my room. He spent ten minutes searching for a song to play. “Jeez, Andy. Pick a song, would ya?” I said laughing as I sat a box down in the corner. “Well, I am sorry if I am picky!” Andy said as he stuck his tongue out at me. “You better put that back in your mouth.” I said. “Make me.” he said laughing. “You're a dork.” I said as I rolled my eyes at him.

            He went ahead and put it on Kiss and then helped me pack up more junk I had. It was mostly just decorations and stuff. I would not let him go near my dressers. Or else it would be like another Victoria Secret episode.

It has been about over an hour now since Andy has been here. We have pretty much got everything in my room packed. Well, except for my clothes, dressers and my bed. But I am going to be getting a new bed anyway.

            Andy went over t the stereo and put on “Careless Whisperer” by Seether. “Why are you playing that song?” I asked as I turned around to him. He ignored the question and grabbed my hand and lead me into the middle of the floor. He held my left hand in his and he put his arm around my waist and held me close. I wrapped my arm around his neck.

“I feel so unsure as I take your hand and lead you to the dance floor. As the music dies something in your eyes calls to mind a silver screen and now its sad goodbye.” Andy sang to me as we danced. He has an amazing voice.

            He looked me right in my eyes. I couldn't help but to look in his. This moment was perfect. I couldn't describe it. The light glistening off his bright blue eyes were breath taking. Also, how is shined on his skin. I have to say, he was a pretty good dancer. Even though he said he sucked at it.

            He pulled me in closer to him. I don't think he could get me closer than this. As he looked at my eyes, he leaned into a kiss. I stretched my neck up toward him. Damn him for being a giraffe. I closed my eyes after he closed his. I thought for sure this time we would kiss. But, as usual, I'm wrong.

            As soon as I closed my eyes, Lily barged into my room. “Hey, Andy has to leave. Mom is almost home.” Lily said as she looked at us. I jumped and pushed Andy away. He leaned on my bed. He just stood up quickly and fixed his shirt. “Ok, Lil.” I said as I scratched the back of my head. “Where you to just about to kiss?” Lily said grinning. “Out!” I said as I pointed at the door.

            I looked at Andy who was opening the window while laughing. “Seems like we can never have a moment alone.” He said as he sat on the sill. “Apparently.” I said laughing. “Are we still on for Saturday?” Andy asked. “Yeah. If you are still up for it.” I said as I walked toward the window. “Yeah. I am. Well, I have to get going. Ill see you then.” Andy said as he jumped for the tree.

            He missed and fell down onto the snow. I looked over the window. “Are you ok?” I said as my mouth dropped to the ground. Andy jumped back up and started to laugh. “Yeah. I'm alright.” he said as he walked away waving bye to me. He was a comical one. “What am I going to do with you, Andrew?” I said laughing as I waved bye to him and closed my window.

            I heard Lily walk back into my room with a grin on her face. “You two almost kissed.” “Yeah, almost. So that is how you want it?” I asked laughing. “I ruin your moment with Eli, you ruin mine with Andy?” “Yeah, that solves it.” Lily said laughing. “Well, I'm going to bed. Night, Ash.” she said as she closed my door. “Night.” I said as I turned my light off and layed in my bed, thinking.
