Chapter 15

            My eyes opened and were blinded by a bright light. It took my awhile to get use to the light. My eyes looked around. They were a little blurry. All they saw were white walls. At first, I thought I was in a mental institution. Though, after I saw the monitor I was hooked up to, I realized I was in the hospital.

            I sat up after I got use to the brightness of the room. I examined my body. I saw a bandage over my left wrist. There was a little blood leaking through it. “Mom! She is up!” I heard a voice say. I wiped my eyes and saw that it was Lily in the door way looking out into the hallway.

            I saw my mom run into the room and drop everything she was carrying. “My baby!” she said as she squeezed me tight. She never hugged me like this. “I am so glad you are ok!” Okay? Woman, my wrist just got sliced. I was thrown into a mirror by your donkey of a fiancée. I won't be ok until he goes away. “Mom, I can't breath.” I said. “Oh, I'm sorry.” she said as she let go and moved hair out of my face.

            I looked at her. “You are okay, aren't you?” My mom said as she looked at me. “Yeah, just a little dizzy.” I said as I looked at her. “Do you want anything to eat or drink?” my mom said as she looked at the door. I looked as well. “I'm alright. I don't have an appetite right now.”

            Hector walked in. he had a lot of nerve to. “Is she ok?” he asked. “Yeah. She is ok.” my mom said turning towards me. “Come here, Hector.” my mom said. “You need to tell Ashtyn something.” Great. Hector walked up to the bed by my mother. “Say it.” she said as she glared at him.

            “Ashtyn, I am sorry for yelling at you and throwing you into a mirror.” he said. I knew he didn't mean it. “Do you forgive me?” “Yeah, sure. Whatever.” I said as I laid back on the bed and turned and faced the other way.

“Well, Ashtyn. I am going to let you rest for a little while. Oh, the doctors said you can go home sometime this evening.” my mom said as she stood up. I nodded to her. “Let me know if you need anything. She said as her and hector walked out the room.

            Lily was sitting on the chair in the corner of the room before she came and walked up to me. “How are you feeling?” she asked. “Alright.” I said. “Look, Ash. I am sorry for what I said to you about Andy and everything. I got out of line. I guess I was so mad that you and Andy liked each other. I got jealous over it.” Lily said. “Jealous? Why would you be jealous over us?” I said as I laughed. “Because, he like, loves you and everything. I guess I just want your relationship with Andy to be like mine and Eli's.”

            Mine and Andy's relationship isn't perfect. We get into fights, too. Oh, and you were not the one that got out of line. I was.” I said. “No you weren't.” “Lillian, I almost killed you with my cell phone.” “That's true.” Lily said as she sat down by me on the hospital bed. “You may have almost killed me, but you did kill the wall.” Lily said laughing. “Poor wall. Me he rest in peace” I said laughing. “Come here!” I said as I pulled my sister into a hug. “Promise we will never fight like that again, Ash?” “I promise.” I said as I held my sister tight.
