Chapter 2A Chapter by EmilySixThe Friday came to end as I grabbed my stuff and walked out of the art class and on to the sidewalk. I walked pass all my friends and told them bye. There was no need to wait for Lillian. She rides the bus home. I Like walking. It clears my head. At this point, my head needed to be cleared. I started to walk off the campus when I heard someone yell. “Hey, shorty!” I knew who it was. “Very funny, Andy.” I said as I turned around and saw him running towards me. “Mind if I walk with you?” Andy said as he wrapped his arm around my neck. “Don't you always?” I asked laughing. “Yeah. Plus, you live a few blocks away from me.” Andy said. “That's true.” I said as I looked down. Andy and I talked and walked like we always do. I know for a fact I am going to miss him. He is the only one I can go to if I ever need any help. Well, needed anyway. I know it is going to break his heart. Poor thing, he had no idea what was coming towards him. We stopped at the park that was three blocks away from where I lived. That was Andy and I's favorite hangout spot. We walked in circles. He had his arm around my neck. I had my arm around his waist. I knew he had a thing for me. I could tell by the way he smiled at me all the time. I smiled at him all the time. I kind of had a thing for him. Wait, let me rephrase that. I do have a thing for him. But I mean, what good is it gonna do? I'm moving in a month. We sat down under a old oak tree. It was freezing out side. Stupid winter! I hate that my birthday is during the winter. But I cant really talk. Andy's birthday is the day after Christmas. We're both holiday babies. I snuggled up close to Andy, shivering like a chiwawa and my teeth chattering. “Cold?” Andy said laughing. “Very.” I said. He put his arm around my body and held me close. I felt so warm and comfortable in his arms. I was going to miss that the most. When I am with him, my heart stops. It is like he is all I need to make my day brighter. “So, Ashtyn. Did you like your gifts?” Andy asked. “Yeah. Though I told you you didn't have to get me anything. But yes, I do love them.” I said as I patted my book bag where I put the gifts. I didn't feel like carrying the bags. “Good. I was in a panic because I didn't know what to get you for Valentine's Day.” Andy said laughing. “I think all guys are like that.” I said laughing. “They never know what to get someone. Even the special ones.” I said as I looked up at Andy. He lightly moved the hair out of my face. We both looked into each others blue eyes. I could feel the tense connection. He slowly began to move into kiss me. I could feel myself pull close to his lips. I could feel the heat between us. I couldn't help, but I had to stop. I lightly nudged him away. “Andy, I have to talk to you about something.” I said as I sat up. “Ashtyn, I didn't mean to move in on you like that.” Andy said as he sat up and looked at me.” “Andy, calm down. It isn't about that.” I said laughing under my breath. “Oh, well, what is it?” he said as he looked at me and moved a piece of hair from my head as it was down. I looked up at him. How was I going to do this? I could feel my heart pounding in my chest. I looked up at Andy with a tear in my eyes. “Andy, I'm moving.” “Moving? What do you mean by moving?” Andy said is a confused manner. “I mean like, moving. Moving out of the city, the state, the country.” I said. “I'm moving to Germany.” I sat as I looked straight ahead. “Why?” Andy said. “My mom's stupid fiancée. He has business work he needs to do in Germany or something and the whole family has to go.” I said as I looked at him. I could tell he was heart broken. He looked like a lost puppy. “You shouldn't have to be forced to move” Andy said. “I know. But, I have no choice. I have to go.” By this time, I couldn't control myself. Tears were flowing out of my eyes. “I don't want you to move, Ashtyn.” Andy said as he turned me toward him. All I could do was hug him. I wrapped my arms around his neck and cried. “I don't want to either, Andy.” I said as I looked at him. “When are you moving?” “Next month.” I said as he wiped the tears from my eyes. I could tell he wanted to break down. He wrapped his arms back around me. He had a firm grip around my waist. I could tell he didnt want to let me go. Ever. © 2010 EmilySix |
