Bay

Bay

A Poem by Emily

Soft breath upon my neck

Hard working hands,

gently placed on my waist

You raise my chin and say-

“my sweet sunshine”

Looking at you-

your golden blonde hair-

and seagrass green eyes

No words compete with you, or

Explain this feeling,

Stress and nervousness at bay

Usually shy- around you I feel myself-

Free to be whoever I dream of-

Gazing at you, saying nothing-

Placing my finger to my lips- shhh

I kiss you….

First kiss of first true love

Hoping it’s not the last
