UnfocusedA Poem by EmilyDeep connection forgotten, Zero empathy for my feelings My emotions numb, like piercing ice gliding through me Perhaps your intentions, never quite limpid, a bit hazy All I have left, a shriveled tulip you handed me Believe me, I wish I would let go of the thought of you Wishing my thoughts would flutter away, like a wren disappearing into the crisp autumn air Time to journey along a path where I no longer see those hazel eyes Those deceiving hazel eyes, that I can cannot afford to see© 2017 EmilyReviews
