She's Better Than You

You should know, I don’t take to heart those words you utter

Jealously fills you up, since I spend my time with another

She’s the best match for me, unlike how you are a strange one

My desires are fulfilled by her, something you never quite mastered

Her voice is beauty to my soul, unlike you’re screech of a voice

Anything I dream of, she’ll fully consider, and usually follow through

Every little thing she does is with such complete grace

 

I never made any promises of staying, you’re simply mistaken

Everything you say is a complete lie

Whenever I speak her name, she loves me all the more

I’m alive, but are you alive, or stuck in your delusional mind?

 

Whatever reminders you have, they are nonsense to me

You created the mess, and that is why I actually left

I’m not denying you, but I’m just being honest

You’re creating your own problems, scapegoating me for what you cannot seem to fix

You are the problem that won’t get help to be fixed

 

Wishing you had my life I see?

I don’t care about you and your issues, leave me out of this

You are in the farthest chambers of my head, the thoughts of you I have are luckily almost dead

Why would you ever think I would stay, stay with you every second of the day

My mind races away from thoughts of you, and your horrible unacceptable attitude

I really felt the irritation that you brought through this piece, and reminded me of every breakup that I could ever think of. However, I would have wished that it was a bit more poetic and portraying the ambivalence of breaking up with somebody that actually meant something to you once in a time, and what different feelings this thought triggers. But I like it, it's raw, unrefined and realistic. Thumbs up.
