Our Sweet Life

Our Sweet Life

A Poem by Emily

Look at the endless beauty of wildflowers,

Making colorful designs on the hills

Let’s explore these surroundings that we have not yet seen

We could immerse ourselves in the moment

Looking deep into each other’s eyes

No signs for tomorrow, only counting on today

Carefree forever knowing we both choose to stay

I will follow you to the expansive blue seas

We can gracefully run along the sandy shores

I will venture and explore nature’s wonders with thee

Embracing you, I’ll smile on a journey that’s meant to be

We can go to places of beauty

A place where we can hear the birds chirp in the wind

There’s a special place where we can watch butterflies happily play

We can notice their colorful and majestic wings

World is ours to explore, let’s see life’s wonders

It will be new, but new is way better with you

Adventurous times, count me in

We’ll be together every step of the way

I will follow you wherever you venture

We are in this journey together

I can’t wait to be with you every single day

We will learn and grow and become strong

To me, you are the brilliant color to my makeup

More than color, you are the key to me being myself, comfortable and free

Honored I am, holding your hand

Let’s explore the world, you are the color to my sweet life

Life is like a dance, movements always changing

Let’s have a dance of life

Yes, trust me, believe me, this is what I want, you

You are my love, my sunshine to a cloudy day
