Little Paper Ducks

Little Paper Ducks

A Poem by Emily
"

Focus on the simple things, focus on those little paper ducks.

"
A paper duck, origami, decorating the window sill

Light reflecting off a baby blue duck

A river of thoughts stream through my head, all the things I could have said

Must concentrate on these beautiful little paper ducks, what’s done is done

May these simple folds of paper, remind me that everything is cool when you breathe

Accept myself for what is done, love myself for adventures to come

Cute, i mean, who doesn't like ducks? Or origami? Or windowseals for that matter? Well played with the list of words given. Cute!

I really like it. Random words are fun to work with, because you never know what you can make with them. Sometimes those kinds of poems are better than the ones you carefully plan out.

Sometimes when you write to a challenge it is appropos to include the word list...

Responding to challenges seems to take an author's choice away ...but it's fun when you feel directionless and are just passing time and whim.
