ChimesA Poem by Emily LChimes My legs lie between the grass, feeling everysoft blade tickle my bare skin. Me and the earth now become one. Looking up I realize there is no sky, the green luscious oak trees leaves have shaded me from the clouds. The field where I reside is silent. No man or beast play where I lay. It is just me, the grass, the wind, and the chimes. So mysterious they ring out from beyond the plain. Their haunting yet memorizing hymns raps itself around my tingling toes and warms my soul. The wind begins to play with my hair all while humming my gentle lullaby to send me to sleep in the arms of nature.
