Six o’clock every morning

Woken by the soft

Pit-pat-pit-pat-pit-pat

Tiny feet across the bedroom floor

Green eyes staring into mine

Head tipped in curiosity

A soft touch on my arm

A small voice

 

My kitten wants breakfast
