Lover's Eyes

Lover's Eyes

A Poem by Emily Feret
"

I think it's very possible to see something one way, and then glance upon that very same thing, and see something completely different than what you saw before.

"
Where once only shadows stood
The sun now blares her glow
Where drought once claimed the land
Only beautiful roses now grow
And it is possible my mind has shifter
To see familiar sights
With a different point of view
But I find life much more beautiful
Since I have fallen in love with you

Thank you so much!
that's true , when we are in love everything is perfect , I like the way you describe it from before to after , and its true and natural , is it based on your life ? Spectacular work

yes it is meant to be shifted! :)
Ah... I just have to smile at the simplicity and purity of this poem. It feels so easy and fun. I want to sing a lilting tune and it feels familiar too... Very nice.

I like the poem. When we are content with life. Life can seem more beautiful and good. No weakness in the amazing poem. I had to read again.

What a beautiful work of art. My only queston while reading was is that supposed to be shifter or did she mean shifted? Love creates such great art. Thank you for this poem.

yes, things look different when we are in love...very nice poem
in third line would reverse "drought once" to "once drought" to match first line.

and did you mean "shifted" in fifth line?

yes I did and your right, I think once drought would definitely make the poem flow a little more!
