Dear mother and father 

Tell your children you love them

Read them stories at night 

Believe in them

Don't hit them when they fail

Or push them over

And kick them when they're down

Dear mothers, 

Never tell your children they are ugly 

Too fat or

Too skinny 

Never ask if they are happy with themselves

If you know the answer is no 

Dear fathers, 

They know you have to work

But take time out to spend with them

Take a moment 

Take two moments 

Don't take their father away 

Dear Grandparents, 

Don't tell your grandchildren they are lazy

Addicted to technology

The s**t generation

The ruin of society

And then ask them to fix your phone

They won't

Dear older brothers, 

Don't withdraw yourself from the family 

Your siblings look up to you 

Don't come home drunk

Smelling of weed

And pass out on the couch 

Dear older sister 

Don't look down on your siblings as

"Too young too understand" 

Don't tell them they don't dress well 

Or force them into relationships 

Makeup 

Drinking

Don't abandon them either

Dear younger brother 

Don't give up on your siblings 

I know sometimes they push you away 

But they love you 

Don't hate them

Don't hate yourself 

You're a good kid 

Dear younger sister

Don't feel you need to be like your sisters

You don't need to dress how they dress

Or listen to their music 

You don't need to be like your brothers 

You don't need to pretend to be okay all the time 

Or put a smile on for others 

Sail your own boat for a while

Be who you want to be 

Dear mum

Dear dad

Dear older brothers and sisters

You're rude sometimes

Dear younger siblings 

Don't try to be me
