I guess i am not okay anymore

Your eyes do not shine like the sun

They are dull and sad

And I'm not sure what happened

I remember when they did shine

And you were happy

And you wanted to live

When you didn't mind what you looked like

Now you long to be as light as ash in the wind

I remember when your tongue had not tasted lies

And your fingers did not meddle with fire 

When your palms were not littered with burns 

And your arms not imprinted wit the kind of drawings you do at 3am

Somewhere you got lost

Lost your family

Your friends

And yourself

How do I make your eyes shine again?

But i guess if I turn away I'll forget

Turn away I tell myself

But my eyes are glued to the mirror
