Acquainted with KnivesA Poem by DuckeyA poem about suicide
I see you are struggling
To keep your head above the water Your smile is fading And laughing's getting harder Your fingers clasped together Stiffening and cold you haven't been like this forever Or so i have been told Your eyes are looking dead From holding back the tears As you lay down your head And forget about your fears You've out pen to paper Said i love yous' and goodbyes And now after your departure I'm left with bloody thighs As every time i think about How you took you life I've followed in your footsteps Became acquainted with a knife
