I'm hanging by a thread

It is the only thing that keeps me from falling

And the only thing that keeps me alive

A single thread

Which laces up my arms

And around my heart

And keeps me above the ground

When i so long to be below 

It is a beautiful thread

Strong and safe

And kind to my skin

It's touch does not burn me

Now its length cut me
