She

She

A Poem by Duckey

Sometimes i look at her
And just think
Goddamn shes perfect

The way her short brown hair falls over her eyes
And her sheepish, playful smile

Her voice
Oh my lord her voice
She sounds so wonderful
Not just singing
But speaking
I hang off her every word

And she looks at me like i matter
Like i mean something to her
Like i will always mean something to her

I see her
In crinkled jeans
And a baggy sweat shirt
And i think

Goddamn she's beautiful

I see her smile
And the way she walks
And the way she cares
and i think

Goddamn she's wonderful

If only for a moment
Just a moment
She would look at me and think the same thing

Oh I love the way you build up this poem and leave the reader feeling at the end. You really feel the writers emotions

Thank you very much :) I am glad you enjoyed it!
Oh Emily, until your last line of verse, I was hoping for, a happy ending for you and her. Almost afraid to ask, have you told her, about your feeling towards her? I know, it's hard, due to the fear of rejected by her, but your heart deserves an answer. And yes, I do envy you, for myself, am petrified to approach someone special, given my history of abusive relationships, starting as a child. Wish you luck, however, you decide to take this relationship, to the next level. :)
