CastlesA Poem by Duckey
I built a castle around my heart
So nothing and no one could get in By day the gates were closed to all And by night they were guarded By soldiers on horseback With arrows slung across their backs And bows in hand Inside there lived a fair maiden Who's hair was soft as silk And a voice as beautiful As the nightingales But she was lonely So i opened the gates to my heart And let others in to keep Her company So is no longer lonely But the footsteps in my heart Of so many people Make it feel like It's way too close to breaking © 2014 Duckey |
