I see you

I see you

A Poem by Duckey
"

A poem about a girl i kind of love just a little bit

"
The first thing i noticed
Was your smile
Your wonderful, beautiful
Sad smile
A smile that didn't quite reach your eyes
Didn't quite look real
But a smile none the less
The second thing i noticed was your eyes
Your bright beautiful eyes
Sad eyes
Eyes that look like they have lost
And seen lost
Eyes that were so beautifully sad
And full of life at the same time
Eyes that looked like they had cried
More tears than most
More tears than they like to admit
Next i noticed your hands
Fingertips callused from
Hours of playing
Pressing on guitar strings
Until blood was spilling from your skin
And the pain
Was too much
Hours of sweet melodies
Humming through the air
Soft and beautiful
Then i noticed your hair
How it falls down gently
And frames your face
With sandy blondes and browns
Lightened from hours you
Spent at the beach
Washing away your troubles
Then i saw what i had missed
Your scars
They were not beautiful
Or wonderful
But they were not ugly either
They were a part of you
So faint
Most would not notice
Most would not think
But i knew
I had seen your sad smile
And sad eyes
And the way you kept playing
Even when your fingers were bleeding
And i know
You had forgotten
How to hold hands with your heart
So i held your hands instead

Oh thank you very much! You are too kind :)
Emily, reading this poem, could feel my eyes tearing, at your expression of love and compassion, toward your love. Hoping she realizes, what a special person, she has found, in you. I hope, you can share your beautifully descriptive poem, with her, knowing this will change your relationship, forever. She deserves to read this, as painful, it may be to your heart. I hope, if I'm as lucky, as your friend is, you could share this romantically heart baring poem, with me. Thank you, Emily, for your courageous sharing of this poem, with us.

Thank you so much :3 You're too kind. Means a lot.
Wow I really liked it :) first of all it tells how much we notice about the person we love.
How much we care and can see the slightest discomfort in their actions.
Its beautifully written. Keep writing!
