I'm done with sadness and tears and woe
It's time for me to stem the flow
Of pitiful howls into the night
From darkness I go into the light

Screw the sorrow, embrace the joy
Damn the fear, the pressure, the boy

From now I live for me, myself
I'm putting myself upon the shelf
The shelf of love for all I do
My aims and goals I'll follow through

I will be happy in all I do
But not for you or you or you
For me alone, myself and I
I let the past float to the sky

Goodbye, good riddance and au revoir
It's time to be the shining star.
