Standstill

A Poem by MLE

I've stopped.
I've stopped caring about my grades, my education, my dreams,
My passions, my ambitions, that ran without seams.
I've stopped my heart from beating it's tune and through my sorrow, have composed a new tune.
My heart stopped beating the day you left, a hole in my heart, my life bereft.
Since then I've stopped with friends and more, nothing excites me and it's all just a bore.
I've stopped with happiness, with joy, with glee,
I've replaced it instead with tears of you and me.
My friends have gone, my love is lost.
I feel bitter, and sorry, an unstoppable frost.
