Mental Illness

Mental Illness

A Poem by Emily

Her is not me
"she"
Is not her
Except in the overlap. - ac
(see the double)
Sleeping dreams come true only
About him
Why? Why
Is too much hope
With no faith
What will be - she has many
Answers with no questions
This is not me..
Hold me, hold me close
So I can feel it when you let go
Let me go
To drown in the red river
With the prophet bums
Or to smoke a cigarette
(halfway down)
While I look at this
Look at this
Pages and pages of pain

I really like this. I like that it's short, the words are scaress, (I have horrible spelling!) and it depicts a mind scattered. I can relate.

About
My first poem popped into my head at age 7. I write a lot. I read a lot. I enjoy books, music, coffee, sociology, biology, psychology, neurology, and talking to interesting people. Honesty is th.. more..
