Fuel for the Fire
A Poem by Emily
I revealed all of myself
to you:
letting go and gripping
fear by the fistful
until the illusion was
reality turned inside
out crashing
on top of my unrelenting
desire -
suffering thoughts
programmed, my senses
chasing after
what does this mean;
drowning out who
I am in the end,
as I approached my last
gasp; I know.

This is an truly emotive poem Emily - the sense of floundering in the world is tangible. You threw a rope to someone who caught it but then let you fall anyway. Your ability to pen the darkness of relationships is unsurpassed. Well done.
