![]() Anticipation Verses TimeA Poem by Emily WrightTime says "tick, tick, tick." The feet go, click, click, click. Time dances around the room teasing Anticipation. "Time, travel faster!" demands Anticipation. Smiling Time dances tauntingly around Anticipation. "Please Time. Please travel faster." Anticipation begs. Picking up his feet Time says "The faster you want me to travel the slower I move." Hopping about Anticipation clings to every passing second. With longing eyes Anticipation looks at the hour to come. "Ding, ding, ding!" yells Time. With a leap Anticipation charges forward into time. © 2009 Emily Wright |
