blue

blue

A Poem by Emily B

I notice that the sky is blue today

there was another day

when the sky was blue

but I can't remember

that sky now

my heart is frozen

and my poems won't rain

I am a little broken

maybe

my wings will grow again

Most days, we are all at least a little broken. Affective and effective work.

Sadness so sweet and simple. Your short pieces always seem to pull me in.

your wings aren't meant to stop growing, Emily. I can see them grow all the way from here...Here here let us toast to bluer skies....

. this is where i'm at too ... and i think renewal is the only way out ... courage is the destination ... have to begin the journey somehow ... need those wings to live ... and then need to fly again to really, really live ...
