i love this. how I wish I could forget some things! but somehow they linger, and often overshadow the present! frustrating, but life. if you do not remember the past, you can not appreciate what is happening now. great words, Emily! such great word choices and carefully designed. well done!
. oh ... wow ... what an amazingly miraculous piece of writing, emily ... absolutely divine work ... "the river of the unremembered" is an expression i could never ever forget ... this is almost the definition of what enlightenment really means ... IMHO ...
Such a hush follows the simple elegance of your graceful lines, unforgotten they seep around to forever feel inspirations touch, shying away from the waterfall of confusion, they stay together entwined and strong in the anchored depths of their calm truth, honesty lingers in the touch and stain of your ink, beauty drips from such little lines, needing nothing more than what they have already given, in a package so neatly parceled carrying within it the fragile heart of a pure dove your words carry the unseen light of a fallen angels beauty.
This is definitely going into my favorites. If I were looking for the perfect poem to describe my own regrets and final wish for an afterlife this would be it. Outstanding work.

I think Dane has one thing right Emily, this piece is the beginning to something, a new beginning, and I don't know if we will ever forget, but I know we can forgive...

I am no Wendy;
but my voice brings you back to me.
And you sit around my feet,
anxious for a story
or a kiss.
Listening to my words
spinning adventures,
like so much g.. more..
