invisible, some days

invisible, some days

A Poem by Emily B
"

this is an odd muse

"

nobody talks to me anymore

maybe my light shines different

maybe they see you

looking back through my eyes

all i know is

you really have to talk to me

cause maybe

nobody else will

So many different connotations lie hidden beneath the few words that spill forth from the lips of a crystalline talent, and I know the right choice was made, for I felt an agitation akin to know other and in a desire for calming words that would ignite a more friendly fire I went in search of the friendly face your words shine forth to me, and here I find a calm though there is a restless yearning and desire within the ink of your words, as you created what your mind was so confused about, there fell onto the page a troubled mind timid and lacking a confidence needing reassurance yearning for a calming balm of touch and human acquaintance. Your words whisper softly to me and lull me with their emotion, you yearn to cover the things you don't want seen, but your words shed a light on the insecurity. Beautiful as always.

. you make your presence felt through your words ... and boy do they have a presence ... sometimes, people have their days and their phase ... and we think it's about our light ... sometimes, it's us ... and we actually prefer silence but don't know so at a conscious level ... whatever it is ... this is a stunning piece of work ... makes me wonder about all those who i don't speak with any more for one or the other reason ...

perhaps your light intimidates..or they are blind..when they dont talk to me i get rest. perhaps the voices you seek are not the ones i hear.

you stitch each word with the perfect emotion and colours - the poignance in that opening line is so palpable and powerful - that unexpected opener that makes us all stop for a minute and go hmm - the shades of lonely - then you have this wonderful ability to carry the tone through it - it just becomes sadder almost - the light shining differently, dulled, frayed even - blocked - then the added elements of the reflection on the eyes - does it resonate in the onlooker making your light different like a red-filter - then the resolve - the ask - the invisibility of a soul in the world - the need for a voice, even if just one - in case nobody else will - there's an agitation, loneliness, and slight melancholy - nice!! enjoyed - only you get me to write more than the poem! lol
